Since 2017, Corporate Traveller has been a partner of the New Zealand Paralympics team, managing the team’s travel and logistics.
Between 60 and 70 New Zealand Paralympics team members will soon head to Paris for the 2024 Paralympics Games (held between 28 August – 8 September), representing the country in their chosen sports.
Angie Forsyth, General Manager Corporate Traveller NZ said the Corporate Traveller team are thrilled to be supporting the New Zealand Paralympics team, ensuring all their travel arrangements are sorted.
“It’s an absolute pleasure to be able to help get the team to Paris without hassle so they can focus on doing what they do best – representing our country in their chosen sports on the world stage.”
The Corporate Traveller team has arranged flights, additional accommodation, transport and other add-ons such as travel insurance for the team and will be on call throughout the duration of the games should any changes need to be made.
Forsyth said this particular booking required the assistance of Corporate Traveller’s highly specialised stage, screen and sports travel management team as there were a number of unique factors that had to be taken into consideration.
“One of the key things we had to navigate was talking to airlines about how best to transport firearms as the shooting team will need these for their event.
“For obvious reasons, this is not something that’s allowed on a regular basis, so many t’s had to be crossed and i's dotted.
“There were also some large luggage requirements, especially for the cycling team as some cyclists require multiple bikes for their races.”
Corporate Traveller’s experience and specialist knowledge was something the NZ Paralympics team valued.
“Ensuring the smooth organisation of group travel arrangements for a sports team is complex, and the team at Corporate Traveller understand our needs and have consistently delivered great service and attention to detail, to ensure our travel experience is as seamless as possible,” said Lynette Grace, Paralympics NZ Head of Games and Sport Delivery.
Grace adds, “Corporate Traveller has taken the time to understand the needs of our athletes and support staff which has been very beneficial.
“We appreciate their patience and support to find the best possible solutions.”
Forsyth said the team at Corporate Traveller feel privileged to be supporting the team with their travel.
“We can’t wait to see the NZ Paralympics team represent our country on the world stage, and hopefully take home plenty of medals.
“We’re backing them 100 per cent and wish them all the very best for Paris!”
