We're passionate about Corporate Social Responsibility and are proud to be part of The Flight Centre Foundation.
Last night Flighties from across Auckland, including our general manager Kelly Thomas, attended the 56th annual Halberg Awards in support of the Flight Centre Foundations charity partner the Halberg Foundation.
David Coombes, Flight Centre NZ managing director who attended the awards says, "The Halberg Foundation changes the lives of families and communities around New Zealand, I've seen this first hand, and I feel so proud that as a company we are able to offer our support to such a worthy cause.
Alongside Flighties from across NZ, I've attended a number of events over the years organised by the Halberg Foundation together with the Flight Centre Foundation. It's always so humbling to see the impact these events have, to hear the laughter and see the smiles of those taking part and to know that together we are striving toward Sir Murray Halbergs vision of a more inclusive New Zealand."
The Flight Centre Foundation is at the heart of Flight Centre Travel Groups corporate and social responsibility efforts. Via the Foundation company employees support nominated charities such as the Halberg Foundation through a Workplace Giving programme. All donations are matched dollar-for-dollar by Flight Centre.
It's not all about financial support, Flight Centre also offers a paid volunteer program so that our people can volunteer their talent and time at charities and community groups across the country.
The Flighties that attended last night’s Halberg Awards alongside FCNZ senior leaders were selected from a ballot of Flight Centre Foundation Work Place Givers and ambassadors.
