Chinese New Year is fast approaching and travellers to Asia can expect disruptions to their travel during this time.
The 2019 Chinese New Year falls on Tuesday 5th February, and the festival continues until 19th February. Chinese people often take annual leave around this time - from February 4 - 10.
This may impact travel with higher demand for flights and accommodation throughout Asia and New Zealand.
From 4 - 10 February 2019 and the days around this time you may be impacted by:
- Reduced availability on flights to/from Asian cities
- Limited accommodation availability
- Local businesses may be closed throughout this period
Should you have any concerns about your travel plans during this time, please do not hesitate to contact your Travel Manager.
